BC Help - some useful programs

I have worked in the IT industry for over 25 years but I am now retired. Throughout those years of providing support to companies and individuals, I came across several very handy programs to make life easier on the computer..

These programs have worked for years and I continue to use them daily. Unlike more modern programs, these are simple, reliable, and effective without all the new annoying gimmicks and add-ons prevalent in new programs.

Some of these programs are the original (older) free versions but they still work without having to buy the now expensive newer bloated versions.

Moffsoft Calculator - a versatile on-screen calculator that can be enlarged to meet your needs and it also incorporates a printable 'paper' tape so you can check your numbers.

Clipomatic - Clipboard Utility This utility stores and saves copied items for future use. Clipomatic sits in the system tray. You can use the normal copy/paste functions of Ctrl C and Ctrl V hot keys to move text from one document to another. However, Clipomatic keeps a list (cache) of all the 'copies' so they can be retrieved and pasted over and over again. Ctrl Alt V shows you the list of available items to paste. You can set the number of items in the list to suit your needs. Use additional settings in the right-click options - Settings....

AxCrypt - this program allows you to easily encrypt your files before you send them through email. The person at the other end must also install the program to remove the encryption. There is an option to send a self-decrypting file but most virus and spam filters will act upon the executable file in an email. When installing this program do ACCEPT the license but DO NOT ACCEPT the free offerin the next window. Untick Register before clicking Finish. Once installed, simply right click on any file to encrypt and select AXCrypt.. Encrypt.. to create a secure file. Right click on the file, click Send to... Mail Recipient... to sent the secure file to anyone. They can then install the Axcrypt program and once you send the password in a separate email, they will be able to open it..

NetSet Manager - a useful tool for your laptop if you use it in various locations and the Internet, printer and email settings need adjusting at each location.
